Okay, [sighs] I do not want to get out of bed, but uh you're here now and maybe this is something we can do together. Um, it's really hard for me to get out of bed in the mornings. I am not a morning person and something that my family always makes fun of me for. I used to be my parents used to make fun of me for
this and now it's my wife and my daughter too. But I always say five more minutes. Just give me five more minutes.
But it never is. Five more minutes. becomes 15 and 30 and I hate it. So what I try to do is I try to set my alarm for the latest most possible time I need to so I can get up.
And I I wear this thing not because of the sleep tracking because like the best sleep tracking for me is how I feel in the morning. If I don't feel good, my sleep quality wasn't that great. But I like it because it's it's it's actually I like the feeling of waking up to an alarm that's just like vibrating me. It
sounds better. It feels better. Anyways, I try to set my alarm for the latest most possible time I need to to get up and um that way I don't snooze cuz snoozing is it's the worst for me. Like is it the worst for you? It's really it makes you feel like you're getting more sleep, but you're really not. Like
the moment I like kind of fall asleep again, then I'm like jolted back awake and I do this and this and you're constantly in this in that zombie zone of not deeply asleep but falling asleep.
It's not good. Snoozing. Snoozing. Whoever Whoever invented the snooze button sucks. Like I I that's a bad invention. Go away. It's kind of like [sighs] you know all these design decisions we make in tech like at some point someone designed snoozing and it's actually worse for humanity and it's worse for sleep but
we've kept it in because people like the illusion of snoozing. It makes you feel like you're like cheating the system but it's actually worse for you. It's worse for you to like actually get out of bed. So, snoozing sucks. I try not to snooze. Um, but it's just so cozy. I don't want to
get out. I don't want to get out. This feels like so good. And I don't want to get out because I just I like this feeling. I don't want to leave this feeling. And um I know there's stuff I have to do. Um, but I don't want to get out of bed.
You know what helps me getting out of bed though? Drinking a lot of water the night before because then I have to pee.
And one of the things, not like in the middle of the night, but I have to pee when I wake up. And um one of the things that really helps me is like knowing knowing when I get out if I can make it to the toilet and I can just pee then I'll be good. I you know something that this decision
I've made in my mind is like if I wake up and I go to pee in the morning then I don't go back to bed. Like that is the rule for me. And if I can make it to that I'm good. And usually drinking a lot of water the night before is like the best way to make sure I do that.
