Wednesday, yes, from bloody windy and bloody noisy Latin America. Listen, I just landed in Caracas, the post-Maduro capital of Venezuela.
And I've got a big problem. You see, I just realized that my Revolut card that I've used to buy things all over the world doesn't work here in Venezuela thanks to sanctions. So, I've got no access to any money whatsoever. The only cash I have got is $30 that I just fortunately found in my wallet. So, I
need to figure something out. But, in the meantime, it is noisy here. But, in the meantime, I have to find a hotel. I've got to find some food, maybe a few cervezas, all on my tiny budget.
Join me for 24 hours in Caracas with barely any money. Bloody sanctions.
There you go. No money, but friendly charm. Let's begin.
So, that guy just said that I can find a hotel in this country or in this city with $10. So, that's within my $30 budget. So, I know it's going to be horrific, but let's go and look for one.
Wow. So, they want $25 to stay in this place. Looks bloody awful. Hotel Sideral, $25. I can't afford 25 bucks. So, um No, we'll carry on looking. me, is that how much a hotel's going to be? The guy down the road says it's going to be $10.
Right. So, the girls don't know.
All right, check this out. As we're making our way down to the cheap hotel, there's a picture of Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
And he says, "I am the president of Venezuela. They captured me in my house in Caracas, and I consider myself a prisoner of war."
So, this has been erected, this poster of Maduro and his wife, obviously after he was taken by the Americans.
Cuz there it is, picture of him saying, "I consider myself prisionero de guerra." He considers himself a prisoner of war, Maduro and his wife.
